Combat climate change through technology

TCM DA presented at Australian conference

Technology Manager Olav Falk-Pedersen presented TCM DAs ambitions and concept at CSIRO PCC Science & Technology Seminar in Newcastle on 19 November 2009.

Hosted by CSIRO Energy Technology, this seminar brought together experts from around the world to share information about the challenges for the deployment of post-combustion CO2 capture (PCC) in the power sector.

Overseas speakers included representatives from leading energy companies, such as RWE from Germany and Dong Energy from Denmark. Specialists from Chiyoda (Japan) and South East University (China) commented on the challenges for flue gas clean-up prior to CO2 capture.

The program was complemented with presentations from CSIRO specialists on the role of carbon capture and storage in emission reductions, electricity grid modelling and costs of PCC in the Australian context.
