Combat climate change through technology

TCM attracts crowds of visitors

When construction of the CO2 Technology Centre at Mongstad (TCM) in Norway is complete in about a year, we will become the world’s largest facility for testing and improving CO2 capture.

People from all over the world will be interested in the test results from Mongstad, since knowledge gained at TCM will have global relevance and will prepare the ground for CO2 capture initiatives to combat climate change.

Although we have not yet started testing, we already experience a massive interest. So far, more than 1000 visitors from i.e. Brazil, USA, Canada, South-Africa, Germany, France, Holland, Japan and Korea have toured our construction site, among them the US Energy Minister Stephen Chu.

EU has expressed a great deal of interest in our project, and we collaborate with a number of Norwegian and international research institutions. Several CCS technology suppliers want to test their technologies at TCM.

We are excited to have a role in the fight against climate change. We thank you for your interest in our project and are looking forward to keeping in touch in the year to come.

We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
