CO2 Technology Centre Mongstad exhibits at the UN climate conference (COP17) in Durban, and will also organize an open meeting with the Global CCS Institute to raise awareness of carbon capture and storage (CCS) as an important climate mitigation tool.

The Energy Ministers of South-Africa and Norway visited Technology Center Mongstad (TCM) on Friday. They were both impressed by the scale and complexity of the carbon capture facilities which will soon come onstream at Mongstad, Norway.

The construction of the amine plant at Technology Centre Mongstad is now complete, and the equipment test period has started. The world’s largest facility for testing and improving CO2 capture is soon ready for startup.

The whole operating organization of CO2 Technology Centre Mongstad (TCM) is now recruited and in about a month they have all started their jobs to prepare for TCMs operational phase. Construction is now 70 percent complete.
